Brief History

The Croix De Candlestick pin was handed out to only the best and most diehard of Giants fans. After an extra inning game at Candlestick, any fan who braved the elements and stayed for the whole game was given the coveted pin. Candlestick Park’s conditions past 10 o clock and the 9th inning at night were harsh and unforgiving. To own a Croix De Candlestick pin is a badge of honor that tells the world, “I love my Giants.”

I need an official ruling…15 years ago I had a Giants hat with 8 Croixs on it. While returning from a game, I leaned out the window a little too far and lost it on 101. Yes, some kid in Hunter’s Point became the proud owner of a nice felt hat loaded with Croixs. My question is this: Is it admissable, under official guy rules, for me to purchase replacement Croixs to reapply to my new hat? I have eyewitness accounts of me actually earning every single one.

    Thanks,

    Mike

I have to say, I think it should be allowed. Since you did earn all the pins, it’s hard to deny your right to essentially reclaim what you worked so hard to achieve.
